Mini Guide to Lençóis Maranhenses 🏝️☀️🍹
.
One of the most naturally beautiful places we’ve visited so far, and we didnt meet a single european tourist when we visited - definitely a bit of a hidden gem off the gringo trail in south america ☀️
.
How to get here ✈️
Fly to Sao Luis airport and get the bus to Barreirinhas - this will be your base for visiting the dunes
.
Which tour to book 🚙
We booked with Sao Paolo tours for their great reviews and didnt disappoint - but youll find lots of tour operators in the town doing trips
.
When to visit?
The lakes are fullest from March to July, which is the rainy season here ☔️
.
Any questions - let me know in the comments!

Im not a city person, but I fully fell in love wit Im not a city person, but I fully fell in love with La Paz 🫶🏼 so much to see and do here, it’s almost intimidating - so I’ve made a video of my must do experiences in the city 🚠 and of course, I’ve saved the best til last 🤼‍♀️
.
🚶🏽‍♀️ Free Walking Tour
The best way to get your bearings and learn a bit about the history and culture here 🦙 we booked with @redcapwalkingtours and would highly recommend!
.
🚲 Death Road
A terrifying but amazing experiences - cycling one of the most dangerous roads in the world 🚴🏼‍♀️ the views are amazing and it’s a great way to spend a day outside the city
.
🥘 Popular Cuisine
A modern twist on traditional Bolivian cooking, with a huge focus on presentation - eat a gourmet, three course meal here for just €11
.
🌆 killi Killi viewpoint
Beautiful and quite park where you can watch the sunset over La Paz ☀️
.
🚠 Cable Cars
Cheap and a great way to get a good view of the city! I recommend doing a loop of the red, silver and purple lines to take in the best views 🙌🏼
.
🤼‍♀️ Cholita Wrestling
So weird but so much fun! Definitely not what I thought we’d be doing in La Paz. I adored this, a great night out and completely unique
.
Is La Paz on your bucket list?

Bem vindo ao Brasil 🇧🇷 . We’ve left Boliv Bem vindo ao Brasil 🇧🇷
.
We’ve left Bolivia and we’re starting our trip to Brazil with 10 days on the north coast🌴👙 I’ve heard it’s home to some of the best beaches in the world, and after 2 months of high altitude and lots of hiking, I’m definitely ready to relax a bit 🍹
.
We’ve found that a lot of people skip Brazil because it’s too big and there’s no way you can see everything - but our motto has been “we can’t see it all, but we’ll enjoy everything we do see” ✨
.
Our first stop has been a dream and I can’t wait to share more with you 🫶🏼 let me know if you recognise it 💞

Bolivia - home to the weirdest tours in the world Bolivia - home to the weirdest tours in the world 🇧🇴
.
This time last week we were watching cholitas wrestle, and now we’re sticking cigarettes in the devils mouth 🚬 the tours in Bolivia are very different than other places we’ve visited so far, but this was such a cool (and scary) experience 🌴
.
We chose to visit the mine on a Sunday because there were no workers there - lots of people want to see the workers and it’s considered a highlight, but if someone came to watch me work I think I’d be a bit uneasy 😬 something to keep in mind if you’re planning on doing the tour!

Mini guide to the largest salt flats in the world Mini guide to the largest salt flats in the world ✨🌙
.
We did a three day tour of the salt flats and it was definitely the highlight of our time in Bolivia 🇧🇴
.
One of the biggest questions is if you can see the flats in a day. If you’re just looking to do the salt flats, you can do a day trip from Uyuni but I’d definitely recommend the three day tour to see the Flamingos and colourful lakes too 🦩🗻
.
To get here, take the bus from La Paz to Uyuni - we went with TodoTourismo and it’s a v luxury experience. You get dinner, a movie, and it’s really comfy and easy to sleep!
.
Any questions about the salt flats, let me know 👇🏼

I’m not a city person, but for La Paz I’d chan I’m not a city person, but for La Paz I’d change 🎨🦙
.
Usually I can’t wait to escape the city and get away to quiet of the mountains, but La Paz was one city on this trip where I wish I’d had more time! We spent five days here, and there’s so much to see and do that you could definitely extend this 🌙✨ here’s my mini guide to the best things to do in this amazing city 🫶🏼
.
Free walking tour 🚶🏽‍♀️
This is the best way to get to know any new city, but the tour in La Paz was the best so far! The stories you hear about the church with no guards and the buried llamas (and more) are fascinating - the culture and traditions here are so interesting and it’s a must do in my opinion!
.
Death road 🚲
If you’re looking for adventure, this is it. Cycling along the most dangerous road in the world was an amazing experience, and the views along the way are breathtaking 🙌🏼
.
Cholita wrestling 🤼‍♀️
The funniest night out in a long time! Every Sunday and Thursday you can watch local women wrestle in a local hall - it’s mad, hilarious, and maybe dangerous. One of the funniest and most unique things we’ve done so far!
.
Cable cars 🚠
Of course, you can’t visit La Paz and not see the city from above! Jump on the red, silver and purple lines for the best view of the city 🫶🏼 bonus tip - killi killi viewpoint is another great view of the city and it was so quiet when we went!
.
Valle de Luna 🌙
Unique landscape on the edge of La Paz with a small park and viewing platforms - great way to get away from the bustling city and go for a stroll!

4 Experiences that you can only have in Latin Amer 4 Experiences that you can only have in Latin America 💫✨
.
Volcano boarding 🏂
Cerro Negro is the only place in the world where you can slide down an active volcano. I’d recommend doing a sunset tour from Leon, you get the best views of the surrounding landscape after you board down, and you can relax with a few drinks afterwards 🌋
.
Ancient Civilisations 🗿🍃
In almost every country in Latin America you’ll find evidence of past civilisations. In the past few years, we’ve visited Tikal, Chichen Itza, Machu Picchu and the lost city of Colombia 🌴 each has its own unique charm and story, and learning the history of these areas has been incredible 🫶🏼
.
Visiting unique wildlife in the Galapagos 🐢🦜
This has been our favourite travel experience to date! We took a tour with @enchantedexpeditions and it was one of the most magical weeks ever ✨ swimming with sea lions, penguins, marine iguanas and so many more types of wildlife was a once in a lifetime experience that I’ll never forget 🫶🏼
.
Visiting the largest salt flats in the world 🧂
We’ve just finished a three day tour of the Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia - and it was so much fun! The landscape is incredible, like nothing I’ve ever seen before. You can see the flats in one day, but I’d recommend doing the three day tour to see flamingos, colourful lakes and to do some stargazing 🔭
